CNC ROBOTICS is looking for employees for positions:

mechanical design engineer

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • conduct feasibility studies and or generate concepts and simulations using software such as KUKA Sim
  • work as part of a team to define client requirements and estimate material, construction, and project timescales
  • understand and identify machine hazards designing the mechanical parts to ensure operator safety and generate compliance calculations as required
  • work as part of a team to carry out Machine Risk Assessments and ensure projects meet construction safety regulations
  • produce designs and associated drawings using Solidworks taking into account design for manufacture. Ensuring the aesthetics, materials and functionality of components are considered
  • provide mechncial input into relevant documents such as trials, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests and O&M manuals as required
  • own and be aware of Project Plan milestones ensuring the Mechnical Design element meets or exceeds planned deadline dates
  • procure mechanical elements in accordance with standards, policies and procedures in line with Project Plan and work as part of a team to ensure stock levels of consumable items are maintained

Education

  • degree Qualified person in Mechnical Design/ Engineering/Robotics
  • experience of developing concepts and designing complex electro mechanical machinery including robotics
  • experience using SOLIDWORKS Mechanical [3D Modelling, Drawings & Analysis], SOLIDWORKS PDM , KUKA SIM
  • experience of Producing manufacturing and assembly drawings inline with relevant drawings standards e.g. BS 8888
  • familiarity with Pneumatic circuit diagrams and componentary
  • knowledge of all pertinent Standards for compliance with the Machinery Directive and CE Marking requirements from a Mechanical Design based function
