Responsibility
- CMCA Integrated Systems Limited is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in Crook, County Durham, Postcode DL15
- design, develop, and fabricate custom products for the defence industry
- work closely with supply chain to outline product bill of materials and select suitable components
- this position will be responsible for the design, development, and project management of custom products for the defence sector
- work closely with manufacturing engineers to develop mechanical assemblies that meet pre-determined specifications
- work with Quality and Support to outline quality processes and engineering processes to improve product reliability and overcome obsolescence
- integrated with customer engineering teams to deliver a project ontime, to specification and within budget
- the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, project management and competent in CAD, CMCA use Autodesk Inventor 2024
Requirements
- mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field required
- must have a strong background in mechanical design
- strong background in Autodesk experience is preferred
- experience with 3D printing is preferred
- experience with Microsoft project
- must have strong oral and written communication skills
- must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- strong organizational skills are required
