Responsibility
- we are looking for someone new to join our Legal Indemnity and Estate Administration Underwriting team
- working with the underwriting team to ensure the highest level of service and technical expertise is provided to clients
- assess risk and underwrite all insurance risks in accordance with the company’s guidelines
- calculate competitive premiums which are reflective of the risk presented
- based in Kent, CLSQ offer hybrid working and depending on location can explore a fully remote contract where a candidate is not local to the office
- using your delegated authority approve your own, as well as other team members cases on behalf of the insurer
- be a mentor and referral point for the junior members of the team including risk referrals and audits
- position: Contract role with possibility of permanent
Requirements
- minimum of 3 years’ experience underwriting legal indemnity insurance
- can demonstrate a vast understanding of defective title insurance and/or estate administration/probate insurance
- is analytical and can problem-solve
- strong experience of collaborative working, acting decisively and building relationships
- CII Certificate qualification desirable, albeit not essential
- underwriting: 3 years
- alternatively, having worked for a broker within the industry or having worked as a conveyancing/private client practitioner who is looking to utilise their skills and knowledge on title/estate administration risks within an underwriting role
- legal indemnity: 3 years
