we are looking for an experienced carer with a L3 in Adult Social Healthcare
you will need to be proactive, have good communication skills and be a flexible team member
you will be required to be part of the ON-call team and for this you will be paid extra
we are a small residential care home with residents most of whom have dementia to some degree
you will be required to do in-house training, attend staff meetings and be responsible for shift allocation, taking the lead on shifts, be able to administer basic first aid, be able to recognise illness symptoms and act on it, retain and pass on information to Health care professionals, be involved in EOL care, get to know family members well and liaise when appropriate, administer personal care including medication and have an active and positive role in our residents quality of life
we provide holistic care to all of our residents and will expect the same level of care, kindness, compassion and understanding from a new team member
the home has a very close knit team who know the residents and their families very well and this is very important to us
your previous experience in this type of working environment will almost certainly play a positive role and will in help you grow and develop further in your career choice
