Responsibility

  • ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, including resident documentation, staff records, and financial reports
  • monitor and manage the facility's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and cost-effective practices
  • prepare reports, maintain statistical data, and contribute to the overall strategic planning of the organization
  • stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to mental health, supported living facilities and the CQC and NICE guidelines
  • participate in meetings, conferences, and networking events to stay informed about industry trends and best practices
  • act as a liaison between residents, their families, and the organization, addressing any concerns or grievances promptly
  • provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment
  • recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the support staff, providing guidance and support as needed with regular supervision

Requirements

  • knowledge of mental health conditions, best practices in care, and relevant legislation and regulations
  • excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • strong organizational and administrative abilities, including budget management and record-keeping
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and liaise with various stakeholders
  • demonstrated commitment to person-centered care, respecting residents' choices and promoting their independence
  • understanding of risk management principles and the ability to implement appropriate strategies
  • several years of experience in the field of mental health and/or supported living, with a proven track record in a managerial role
  • qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent are desirable
