Responsibility

  • determining how long each project will last, incorporating the amount of labour required to complete each project
  • communication with clients alongside the project managers to determine the scope of each project
  • determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions
  • identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistences between estimated and actual project costs
  • researching the market prices for project materials and equipment whilst regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labour costs

Requirements

  • completion of a postsecondary education electrician training program
  • valid electricians licence
  • the ability to interpret blueprints
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent organisational skills
  • effective communication skills
