Responsibility
- we are searching for an experienced Accounts Assistant proficient in bookkeeping and producing monthly management accounts
- perform various bookkeeping activities, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable and receivable
- ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained, adhering to accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- utilise Xero accounting software to manage client's financial transactions
- prepare financial reports, profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support management accounts
- assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations etc
- conduct variance analysis and identify trends to provide valuable financial insights for decision-making purposes
- continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role, with a focus on bookkeeping and management accounts
- accounting
- experience with running payroll is an advantage, but training will be provided
- proficiency in using Xero accounting software
- knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality financial records and reports
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues
- effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels
