Responsibility

  • the successful candidate will manage and support a team of technical supervisors, debt advisers and support staff
  • ensure support for vulnerable clients and ensure safeguarding matters are dealt with sensitively and appropriately
  • ensure the complaints and incident reporting procedures are followed
  • ensure regular one-to-ones and appraisal meetings are carried out with team members, manage performance and initiate capability and sickness procedures promptly
  • initiate and progress disciplinary measures if required and in consultation with the Operations Manager
  • we are looking for an experienced Call Centre Manager or a person who can demonstrate they have transferable skills to implement and manage a new debt advice call centre
  • lead, coach and motivate the team within the call centre to deliver agreed KPIs /PIs. This includes but is not limited to accurate quality of advice and recording, productivity, service levels and a high standard of customer satisfaction
  • ensure regular team meetings to ensure that the team have accurate and up-to-date information about the service and operation

Requirements

  • experience of leading, coaching and managing a large team within a customer service or call centre environment
  • experience of recruiting and inducting staff within a customer service or call centre environment
  • demonstrable experience of setting performance objectives and maximising the performance of individuals and teams
  • experience of developing and maintaining effective performance management records and suggesting improvements
  • experience in writing management and performance reports
  • experience of meeting robust KPIs
  • management: 2 years
