Responsibility

  • oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure smooth workflow
  • create and develop menus that are innovative and appealing to customers utilising locally sourced quality ingredients
  • prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • manage inventory and order supplies as needed utilising local suppliers where available
  • collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
  • maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or catering establishment
  • strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food presentation etc
  • ability to plan seasonal menus utilising local suppliers and building relationships with these
  • excellent organisational and time management skills
  • ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and best practice
