- promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in community activities
- support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- develop and implement individualized care plans based on the needs and goals of each individual
- help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
- document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- patience and empathy when working with individuals with disabilities
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
