- we are aware that at times, we can face difficulties in our job roles and this can be emotionally draining
- residential Support worker role- supporting young people between the ages of 8-17 years with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, in a residential setting. Engaging young people in meaningful activities, education and relationship building
- undertake care and domestic tasks with children and other staff including cooking, intimate personal care etc
- creating a home from home feel within the house, by de-institutionalising our language and actions, supporting young people to build positive relationships and being able to maintain these relationships
- although we say to "leave your problems at the door" we also know that sometimes this can be difficult
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- experience of working with young people and ability to relate to them in a positive way
- ability to communicate effectively
- residential Childcare: 1 year
- support Environment: 1 year
