  • BSc degree in Finance, Payroll or Accounting or relevant field
  • A member of Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals or equivalent

  • solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical error
  • keen interest to continually improve the Payroll service and process

Responsibility

  • you will process payroll from start to finish and provide support and advise to our nursery managers
  • as part of your role, you will also oversee PAYE, Pension, SSP and SMP

  • complete all duties in accordance with the setting and company guidelines, completing weekly diary sheets and checklists where applicable

nursery manager

Responsibility

  • ensure the nursery is safe, clean and welcoming, with well-kept educational resources
  • ensure that ratio and internal regulations are met at all times, whilst taking into account any statutory or welfare requirements
  • ensure records are properly maintained and archived, following the Cherubs Nurseries GDPR policy
  • be the first point of contact for the team, discussing any issues with your Nursery Manager to ensure they are resolved and your team remains happy at all times

area manager

Responsibility

  • hold monthly meetings with individual nursery management teams to prioritise support and ensure the nursery is operating safely and sustainably
  • oversee financial performance, maximising revenue and controlling expenses to ensure the financial health and sustainability of each nursery
  • complete “mock” audits alongside Givens and other compliance audits to prepare your nurseries and drive continuous improvements
  • ensure Designated Roles at each nursery are always filled and have an experienced Educator in-post. Where needed, provide coaching and CPD opportunities to ensure these individuals can fulfil the needs of the role
