Responsibility
- reviewing technical specifications and tender documents and understanding clients’ requirements
- completing design take-offs and producing a schedule of quantities
- completing initial designs based on a technical specification
- producing design drawings and schematics
- completing design calculations and presenting technical information
- liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for technical data and pricing
- populating quotations with technical information and costs
- researching suitable components/systems and checking for compatibility
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- fire and Security Design & Estimating: 5 years
