product manager

Requirements

  • minimum 5 years working in a Product Management oriented role or related commercial/technical position
  • degree level qualification in a technical or commercial discipline or equivalent experience
  • experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical industry or with industrial products or machinery would be an advantage
  • the ability to understand complex problems and distil them into clear requirements, solutions and value propositions
  • demonstrate a commercial understanding of pricing, marketing international business development with large multinational manufacturers
  • A track record of excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage and communicate data and information with clarity

Responsibility

  • product Line Lifecycle- responsible for managing the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical positioning for existing and future products
  • collaboration- the PM will work cross-functionally across the business, interacting with our application & engineering solutions, engineering, marketing, sales and commercial departments.The PM will develop strong relationships between these departments to allow for smooth and efficient flow of product activities, whilst meeting our customers needs and resolving any issues
  • product/ Market Analysis- the PM regularly performs competitive pricing and profitability analysis, which are used to recommend strategies that will improve the assigned product’s market position, enable cost reduction and improve quality over product competition
  • product Pricing and Strategies- in conjunction with the Head of Product Management and Marketing and the commercial department, the PM will develop pricing and product positioning strategies, ensuring the translation into tangible results
  • product Strategy- the PM will take responsibility for the set up of a product’s strategy, influencing at all levels, and aligning with the company’s strategy
  • product Marketing/ Promotion- the PM will develop and promote a company-wide marketing plan for the assigned production and will launch and promote the core functionalities, benefits and value and will attend trade shows to represent the product and our business
  • this role will work closely with the marketing department to determine the best marketing strategies, product positioning, as well as target customer advice
