Responsibility

  • interacting with business analysts and product owners to discuss and understand reporting requirements
  • data preparation and transformation using Power query and advanced query editor in Power BI desktop
  • writing DAX queries and developing optimized data models using Power BI relationships
  • implementing row level security to restrict data access
  • creating and administrating workspaces in Power BI service
  • presenting demos and presentations to Product owner and stakeholders
  • tuning Data Refreshes and Azure SQL Stored Procedures and queries
  • participate in all phases of the Development lifecycle including customer meetings, requirements definitions, solutioning, design, implementation reviews, QA and support

Requirements

  • degree in a technical or business discipline, ideally one with a data focus, is required
  • worked and delivered results both as a team member and independent contributor
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • self-motivated, collaborative, detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
  • A passion for enhancing the customer experience
  • experience in understanding business requirements and designing and developing informative KPIs, dashboards and reports
  • proficient in writing DAX to define custom calculations for calculated columns and measures
  • 3+ years of experience working with Power BI
