Responsibility

  • job Title Residential Home Deputy Manager
  • promote equality and diversity by interpreting equality, diversity, and rights according to legislation and policies
  • ensure daily handovers take place and that relevant information is passed between shifts
  • ability to take responsibility for own training and to ensure training is always up to date
  • take part in the recruitment of prospective staff as needed
  • to support family key workers with the management of their families, oversee the placement planning and offer support, direction and coaching to them
  • ensure staff and families adhere to the centre's ICT policies
  • to ensure that family key workers are up to date with their case work, that they are progressing the assessment within timelines and to quality check the assessment process and reports of each family key worker

Requirements

  • HCPC recognised Social Work qualification
  • A minimum of two years of experience relevant to children's residential care in the last five years
  • level 4 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services; or equivalent; or preparedness to work towards the same
  • residential Home Management: 3 years
