maintenance operative
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- carry out both planned and reactive minor vehicle repairs such as light bulb and windscreen wiper replacements
- carry out preventative maintenance on vehicles and vehicle equipment in line with set programmes
- carry out both planned and reactive maintenance and repair work to hire fleet equipment
- carry out both planned and reactive building maintenance which may include general building, joinery, painting, external works etc
- undertake general facilities support tasks including keeping areas clean and tidy
- ensure the proper management of equipment, personnel and processes
- ensure that all duties are completed in a safe and timely manner
- maintain operational and cleanliness standards across all vehicles including washing and cleaning vehicles where required
Requirements
- experience of performing light vehicle maintenance
- experience of performing building maintenance or experience in construction
- ability to use common hand and power tools
- ability to learn about the workings of bespoke vehicle equipment
- ability to maintain focus whilst working alone
- enthusiastic, proactive and a positive attitude
- efficient and able to prioritise tasks
- good punctuality
