Responsibility

  • maintenance of the highest levels of food hygiene standards
  • liaising with the Head Chef to create new menus as required
  • tuition and management of junior chefs and other kitchen staff
  • managing stock levels and ordering of stock if required
  • meeting with supplier representatives along with Head Chef to ensure that products and prices are appropriate
  • supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
  • preparation of meals for customers – predominantly main courses but other courses as required
