Responsibility
- setting, control, management and review of department process checks
- co-ordinate the implementation of new products and associated processes in the foundry facilitating a continuous improvement cycle
- assisting with internal audits to ensure that process controls are functioning as required
- maintenance and development of the Quality Management System
- co-ordinating with technical and production personnel to execute and develop SPC
- provision of engineering services to support all production processes in achieving the required standards expected by customers; quality, delivery, cost and service
- support major programmes such as Health, Safety and Environmental, Quality, 5S, Teamworking etc Role specific experience requirements
- develop and create production process controls where needed, which are standardised and controlled through the use of tools such as PFMEA’s, Control Plans, SOP’s, CAPA’s and 8D
Requirements
- qualification in an Engineering discipline, ideally degree level, but others will be considered
- use of inspect and test equipment, including measuring and laboratory equipment
- experience in Quality Management Systems and/or ISO 9001
- lean / Six Sigma experience or qualifications would be advantageous
- quality control: 1 year
