Responsibility
- this job role is for an IT Support Technician Apprentice
- assisting staff with any logged IT related incident when called upon
- diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and range of software applications
- organising delivery and return of IT equipment
- answering phone and dealing with face-to-face IT helpdesk enquiries Logging and resolving incidents on the helpdesk management system
- prepare and maintain routine IT equipment for use
- maintaining existing IT equipment
- installing new IT equipment
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- job Related Education, Qualifications and Knowledge
- some experience of using PCs and common desktop application software
- no formal qualifications required as on the-job training will be provided
- limited technical knowledge, e.g., understand the basic PC and Software
- five GCSEs, ; a relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship; other relevant qualifications and experience; or an aptitude test with a focus on IT skills
