Responsibility
continuous improvement including oversight of advanced process control and feedback to the R&D programme
maintain up-to-date projections of cost of goods and environmental factors in line with production data
identify IP and acceleration opportunities to help protect and developments
continually update knowledge and understanding in the field to support the development of the company
lead and manage the development, implementation, and integration of safe, robust, and efficient process unit operations, through design, build, commissioning, and testing stages underpinned by a deep understanding of process development engineering
participate in internal and external initiatives/events to the benefit of the company
develop and deliver a programme to coordinate internal, partner and contractor development scopes ensuring alignment and smooth delivery against technical milestones
be responsible and have oversight for maintenance of documentation covering process design and specification, build standards, installation/qualification, and ultimately performance validation of process across a range of scales
Requirements
industrial experience as lead project engineer or project manager for complex R&D/scale-up/tech-transfer assignments in the food or biotechnology industries
experience in delivering complex, end-to-end, new-to-world process solutions
pilot equipment development, preferably in areas such as fermentation, hygienic/aseptic operations, downstream processing, membranes, or emphasis on process control
demonstrably strong commercial awareness
strong Line management and Project management experience
experience with HSE procedures in a lab and manufacturing setting
