Responsibility
- oversee the workshop activities, including planning, organizing, and executing joinery projects to meet specified deadlines and quality standards
- lead, train, and motivate the team, providing guidance and support
- ensure that all joinery work meets the required quality standards and specifications
- provide technical guidance to the team, troubleshooting issues, and offering innovative solutions
- identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency of our workshop
- generate cut lists for the joiners
- weekly health and safety checks on workshop equipment
- collaborate with client project managers and communicate with them to provide updates on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- ideally 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
- CSCS preferred but not essential
- NVQ level 3, or ability to demonstrate proficiency
- prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
