Responsibility
- working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum, using MIG/ TIG welding you will read and break down complex engineering drawings
- using a diverse skill set, and working with general fabrication equipment you will use initiative to fabricate our products
- we are a fast-paced environment and we do not micro-manage
- our staff work independently on a wide range of different, interesting & prestigious projects
- you will take ownership and be accountable for the quality of your work, helping to develop and grow the business
- A great role as part of an open and growing team where your contribution will be visible. We would like experience as a sheetmetal worker / fabricator, but we will support and provide training for employees not yet qualified but keen to learn
- this is a busy workshop, so being mindful of yourself and others is imperative to our health and safety culture
- this role will initially be for a 6-month probationary period with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate
Requirements
- engineering qualifications are welcomed but not essential
- previous experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings would be desirable but not essential
- strong attention to detail and ability to work safely with precision in a small team is essential
- good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
