- to attend staff meetings and training sessions as required updating knowledge where necessary
- to recognise cost control and cost effectiveness, adhering to budgets set and recognizing waste
- to prepare and review menus in conjunction with the Manager
- to understand and provide the appropriate diets and special needs or preferences, recognizing fortifying meals as essential for some
- to order and control stock and maintain records to ensure storage of food is in accordance with the Health and Safety standards and food hygiene regulations
