supply chain planner

Responsibility

  • due to our successful growth, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our team
  • conducting stock planning and purchasing for a significant proportion of the company's SKUs from several of the company's suppliers
  • maintain a purchasing plan to forecast and troubleshoot product stock levels for the next 6 months
  • co-ordinate with your suppliers to implement the purchasing plan
  • take cost-effective emergency actions to avoid high value stockouts, and implement actions effectively
  • achieve high product availability for your product portfolio, whilst maintaining a typical stock turnover rate
  • ensure that the products you buy are in line with the Cartridge Save brand, sourcing artwork and materials where required
  • you will be joining a purchasing team with many exciting challenges, purchasing from a global supplier base to meet the needs of a fast-paced online retail environment in a very fast-moving industry

Responsibility

  • undertake any other duties which can be reasonably asked of a Warehouse Stock Controller
  • to champion areas of health and safety within the department
  • undertake project work as dictated from time to time by the Warehouse Team Leader or Operations Manager
  • assess and improve on existing stock control procedures, including but not limited to storage, profiling and FIFO
  • take part in annual stock take with external auditors
  • provide Warehouse Team Leader and Team Leader Assistants with weekly count requirements, from stock control, errors reported, and routine counts, to maintain adherence to Cycle Count schedule and Supplies Reporting
  • ensure adequate communication channels are established and maintained, within the department and internal stakeholders, to support teamwork and commitment
  • ensures that workspace is kept tidy and free from hazards

Requirements

  • strong understanding of commercial drivers such as P&L
  • effective communicator with all levels of stakeholders
  • excellent attention to detail, diligence and numerical understanding
  • CIPS qualification level 4+ or CIPS recognised equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in varying supply chain functions and/or verticals

  • ensure that products are presented effectively on the companies website, making recommendations for improvements
  • grow the category by bringing new products to market effectively
