mechanical design engineer
Responsibility
- as a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be creating a wide variety of designs for machinery products
- design & build components to customer specifications
- create final assembly, machining drawings and modifying & improving existing designs using Solidworks and AutoCAD
- ensuring designs are safe to build as well as cost effective
- provide technical support to the shopfloor and site installation teams as and when required
- run your own project with minimum supervision
- follow all set drawing office procedure
- carter Brothers Ltd is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The role has surfaced due to on-going growth within the drawing office
Requirements
- utilise CAD software tool to draw component details, assemblies and machine parts for manufacturing
- experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD or similar 3D software
- must be able to read and understand 2D drawings
- knowledge of machinery design would be ideal
- experience of managing projects from initial concept to completion
- shopfloor knowledge & Manufacturing processes would be beneficial
- ability to work as part of a team
- mechanical Design: 3 years
