Requirements
- good general level of education to NVQ 3 standard or above/equivalent qualification or experience level
- at least 2 years’ experience of working in a public-facing role
- knowledge and understanding of the legislation that impacts on unpaid carers and the people they care for
- ability to work remotely and autonomously with minimal supervision with a delegated level of responsibility
- committed to a person-centred approach to working with carers
- knowledge and understanding of the health and social care system in Ealing
- ability to initiate, develop and sustain effective relationships with a wide range of people of services
- knowledge and understanding of the Welfare Benefit System
Responsibility
- to provide high-quality tailored information, advice and guidance to carers via the telephone
- on occasion may be required to support, and or, stand in for sessional staff and volunteers
- providing support to volunteer support group facilitators, information point volunteers and volunteers who are directly supporting the service at events, activities or in the office
- this includes ensuring they have up to date information about services and a mechanism for referring carers for further information or support
- 18. To undertake any reasonable duties/ responsibilities required to meet the needs of the service as directed by the senior manager
- ability to collate and produce high-quality information materials for circulation to service users and professionals
