Responsibility
- provide person-centered care and support to residents, respecting their individuality, dignity, and independence
- assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate aids and techniques to ensure their safety
- encourage and assist residents with eating, drinking, and following dietary requirements
- engage in meaningful interactions with residents, offering companionship and emotional support
- as a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to our elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being
- assist in organizing and participating in recreational activities and social events for residents' enjoyment
- we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team
Requirements
- previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or similar role is desirable but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided
- NVQ/QCF level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is advantageous
- compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for caring for the elderly
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues
- ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from nursing staff
- physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting
- flexibility with working hours, as this role may involve shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' rights and privacy
