Responsibility
- efficiently and accurately complete the roster, ensuring all shifts are covered with appropriate care staff
- collaborate with care providers and staff members to assess and understand care requirements, ensuring the right match of staff to clients
- manage scheduling changes, cancellations, and substitutions in a timely manner, minimising disruption to care services
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care staff availability, preferences, and qualifications
- monitor and track care staff attendance, punctuality, and compliance with company policies and procedures
- liaise with clients, families, and care staff to address any scheduling issues or concerns promptly and professionally
- utilise care systems such as CarePlanner and Birdie effectively to manage care schedules and related information
- provide training and support to care staff on the effective use of care systems and tools
Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or education is a plus
- proven experience as a Care Coordinator or in a similar administrative role, preferably in the healthcare or home care industry
- excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the integrity of care schedules and records
- proficient in using computer systems and software, with excellent IT skills
- previous experience with care systems such as CarePlanner and Birdie is highly desirable
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of individuals
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
