Responsibility
- as a care support worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and person-cantered care to individuals in need
- provide personal care and assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- you will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being and safety of clients
- assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring proper techniques and equipment are used to prevent injury
- your role may involve working with individuals in their homes, residential care facilities, or healthcare settings
- support individuals with medication administration, following prescribed guidelines and maintaining accurate records
- assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, adhering to dietary requirements and restrictions
- engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship to promote social interaction and emotional well-being
Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent qualification
- previous experience in a similar role or relevant healthcare setting is preferred
- compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to support and care for others
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and their families
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- basic understanding of health and safety regulations and infection control practices
- physical stamina and the ability to perform lifting and manual handling tasks as required
- willingness to undergo background checks and obtain relevant certifications or clearances as required by local regulations
