- to support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the home
- to role model, lead and manage employees and resources to ensure that the home adheres to the highest possible standards

- the aim is to be a supportive, rewarding and engaging provider and our goal is to provide quality care and support for children and young people aged 8 to 17
- we are looking to grow our team as the company expands, offering a clear progression path from entry level to senior management
- plan and organise activities on a daily basis as well as for special celebrations and festivals
- this includes assisting the manager in supervisory responsibilities within the team, caring for the welfare of the young people alongside having understanding and commitment that this care is provided in line with the legislation, policy and ethos as required by Care Management Solutions and OFSTED
- to participate in holidays and a range of sporting and physical activities with the children/young people
- provide primary care on a day to day basis according to the child/young person’s individual needs and meet occasional needs such as health care appointments
- work directly with the children/young people in accordance with agreed individual programmes and strategies
- carry out domestic duties to ensure that the home is maintained to a high standard, including some cleaning, cooking meals, laundry, redecoration and grocery shopping
- support children/young people to gain the maximum benefit from education
- support children/young people by showing awareness of their individual interests and preferences, by introducing them to a range of different experiences and enabling them to make informed choices wherever possible
- consult in a meaningful way with children/young people and their families
- undertake any other duties appropriate with the post, this could include transporting children/young people to education, activities or family contact
