  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • commitment to working with young people
  • training in working with young people
  • passionate about achieving the best outcomes for young people and a willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to do so
  • qualification in working with young people
  • experience of working with young people in an employed or voluntary capacity
  • effective inter-personal skills and ability to form positive and supportive relationships with young people
  • national professional qualifications in youth/health and social care or community work
  • effective oral and written communication skills and competent in the application of ICT

Responsibility

  • establish and maintain clear and professional boundaries at all times
  • you may be expected to attend meetings with Care Hubz managers to feedback on a young person’s progress
  • you will be expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with young people who have complex needs, issues with attachment and trauma and present challenging behaviour
  • you will also be expected to support and facilitate the children and young people to access health, education, YOS or preparation for work courses and support them with any other appointments they may have
  • you will be expected to ensure the condition of the home is maintained at all times and report any deterioration of the home to the Registered manager in order to arrange any maintenance required
  • have an understanding and respect for the diverse needs of each child and ensure all children and young people are treated fairly and consistently
  • ensure security of the House, including contents, confidential records, cash, keys, furniture and equipment, resident’s clothing, and possessions
  • to ensure the safety of residents of the home, including organising regular fire drills, weekly health and safety checks
