Responsibility
- leads the civils and MEICA design process through pricing/ tender, detailed design and construction support stages, supporting the Project Manager
- leads design scoping activities, reviewing client requirements, and packaging subcontract design works
- provide support to Project Managers in commissioning site investigation and design work
- carrying out site scoping/ survey visits as required to obtain information necessary for design development
- directly manages subcontract resource to produce design outputs compliant with client’s specifications and standards. Follows the client’s process design submission/review/acceptance
- review of subcontract design proposals, fee, and programmes feeding into pricing and tendering activities and general management of resources to ensure the design is delivered to the project programme and budget
- presenting design information to wider project team/ client
- review scope of works with project team to create design delivery plan, identifying activities, outputs and timelines. Producing and managing a programme for all design activities ensuring that the client’s expectations are suitably managed
Requirements
- BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering field as a minimum
- degree in an engineering field
- ability to use Microsoft project to manage programmes
- full Driving license required
- membership with relevant professional body - Progressing towards a Chartership with relevant chartered body
- appropriate CSCS card
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably wastewater based
