Responsibility
- negotiation and management of nominated commercial and contract matters
- support Head of Contracts in all interim valuations and final account negotiations
- manage monthly cost/value reconciliation reporting
- conduct regular budget reviews with the Contract delivery teams
- resolving contractual and commercial challenges as they arise
- review subcontract orders and provide support to Procurement department in negotiating with key strategic partners
- agree contract variations and compensation events
- working with our Head of Contracts and his team to deliver and manage performance against margin targets set by financial budgets
Requirements
- you must be a proven Commercial Manager who can manage and positively influence others
- have an extensive understanding and experience of working for a construction main contractor
- have a proven track record of commercial and contractual awareness
- hold previous experience working with different NEC, RIBA and JCT Contracts
- proficiency with Microsoft packages
- highly organised, a good time manager, ability to delegate tasks
- result oriented with the ability to achieve the target within given time
- ability to foster a culture of teamwork, working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness
