laboratory technician
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- quality Control Testing of raw materials to ensure conformity to specifications agreed with suppliers
- you will also be required to generate reports and provide feedback to the customers either directly or indirectly via colleagues
- quality Control Testing of finished products to ensure conformity of products
- sample Management and Processing – all incoming samples from customers to be logged on the sample database and processed for analysis
- time Critical Report Generation – produce quantitative reports based on sample analysis of customer samples with rapid turnaround
- provide analysis and top-up guidance to the sales team and/or customers based on sample analysis
- visit customer installations to provide training, to troubleshoot problems and to collect chemical samples
- support the chemist in research and development of new products based on changing markets and customer demand
Requirements
- good communication skills are essential as is the ability to tailor your communication to different audiences
- A good analytical mind, attention to detail and the ability to work in a small team are essential for this role
- A scientifically “curious” mentality will be helpful
- the successful candidate will have a minimum of GCSE level education in Science and Mathematics with A Level or equivalent qualifications in these areas preferred
