financial controller
Responsibility
- we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to be based in London, UK
- oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bookkeeping
- the ideal candidate will be a qualified ACCA or ACA professional with experience working in a top 4 firm
- ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
- lead and manage financial consolidations across the group, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of consolidated accounts
- develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts and budgeting models
- manage and optimize banking relationships, including cash management and payment processing
- ensure accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, liaising with external tax advisors as needed
Requirements
- bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- qualified ACCA or ACA with a strong background in financial accounting and control
- at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- strong understanding of IFRS, financial consolidations, and tax regulations
- proven experience in managing payables/receivables, bookkeeping, payments, cash flow forecasting, and banking
- experience in financial reporting and budget preparation
- excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with senior leadership
