Responsibility
- supervise and work with sous-chefs, food runners, and servers
- be responsible for menu changes and preparation times
- be able to plan meals in advance and monitor their status as they are being prepared
- plan daily menus as needed
- present food to customers in an appealing way; recommend food to customers
- communicate with wait staff during meals
- have knowledge of basic food safety regulations
- manage kitchen workflow by making sure the right people are doing their job; make sure the right tools and ingredients are available when needed
