Requirements
- minimum of 1 year’s kitchen experience to include basic cooking, temperature control and stock ordering
- kitchen experience working within a hospital or Nursing Home environment
- experience of working independently and as part of a team
- possess a recognised qualification in catering, i.e. NVQ 1 & 2 or equivalent
- good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- basic Food Hygiene certificate
- kitchen: 1 year
Responsibility
- supervise catering staff, monitor their progress and identify training needs
- hold staff meetings and attend meetings as required
- whilst the above is an outline of the duties, you will be required to carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Home Manager and/or the Company
- ordering, receiving and monitoring stock, in relation to patient numbers
- meet with new residents and families to establish dietary requirements
