Responsibility
- the role will cover all generalist HR duties and you will work closely with managers in supporting their teams
- you will manage the end-to-end recruitment and induction process for all new starters, with support from the HR Administrator
- the HR Advisor will be responsible for leading a first class, business focused operational HR service, providing advice and support to the organisation
Show more +8 - working with the Senior Leadership Team, managers and employees you will develop, deliver and drive the people and culture plan and your role will include HR partnering duties encompassing all facets of HR, such as advice on employee relation matters, career management, performance management, annual review processes, benefits management and employee engagement
- you will play a vital role in attracting talent to the business and will work closely with our hiring managers to understand their resourcing needs and delivering against our resource plan
- the clear and concise resource plan will demonstrate financial awareness, help determine efficiencies, future business resourcing requirements and provide accurate and detailed financial figures which feed into the Business Management Accounts
- ensuring that all relevant checks are carried out and our induction experience gives new starters the opportunity to hit the ground running and become engrained in the way we do things at BES
- with a keen interest in supporting career paths, you will use your knowledge of the apprenticeship levy and other learning and development structures to design and deliver a learning and development strategy that creates talent pools and offers development opportunities for apprentices, graduates and allows the upskilling of our existing employees
- using your previous experience of designing and implementing streamlined and value-added processes, you will critically analyse our existing HR processes, looking for ways to bring these up to date with best practice and current ways of working that makes employees and managers lives easier, as well as satisfying any legal and best practice requirements
- in conjunction with the HR Administrator, you will maintain all relevant HR systems, ensuring that they are up to date
- you will work to be an ambassador for people and culture, working openly within the business and with our managers and employees to raise awareness about subjects including any changes in employment law, changes to HR policies and practices, always seeking to engage them in the subject
Requirements
- previous experience of working in an engineering or similar background would be valued, it is not essential
- we are looking for somebody who has successfully completed their CIPD Level 5 as a minimum. If you have completed or are working towards your CIPD Level 7 then that would be even more advantageous
