Responsibility
- construct and repair structures made of brick, block, and other materials
- lay bricks and blocks in a variety of patterns according to specifications
- ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently
- collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to ensure project success
- maintain a clean and organised work environment
- follow all safety protocols and regulations on site
Requirements
- proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential
- proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour for extended periods
- knowledge of roofing techniques is an advantage but not required
- excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
