Requirements
- SMT experience of organisational finances including managing finance/ budget processes and producing annual accounts
- knowledgeable and demonstrable best practice in legal requirements, financial management and accounting
- standard operational management practices and processes, including budget setting and monitoring, project planning and staff management
- commonly used IT software programmes, particularly accounting software
- trustworthy, able to maintain confidentiality, deal with sensitive information and to take responsibility for important operational functions
- we’re looking for a credible professional who can demonstrate maturity and be a source of knowledge and experience, a candidate who can work independently, but also collaboratively as required, with the ability to adapt to different styles and not be afraid to challenge where needed
- strong planning and organising skills, able to produce budgets and financial strategies
- ability to review, devise and implement new systems and procedures
Responsibility
- location: Peterborough/Plymouth/Stirling/Cardiff
- hours: Part-time - 28 hours per week
- contract Type: Permanent
- as our Head of Finance, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the charity complies with all legal requirements and reporting whilst developing and implementing finance strategy in line with the business plan
