- full Time Cook required for a busy Care Home
- the Cook should be able to prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment
- the Cook should be able to control food allocation to minimise wastage
- catering numbers may vary, but will include residents, visitors and staff
- this post is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service application which will include a DBS Adult First check to ensure the applicant is not registered on the DBS Adult Barred List
- the comments of the Community Dietician and the Registering Authorities must also be taken into account in catering matters
- the Cook works to a 4 weekly menu with guidance from the Care Manager, taking into account ethnic, religious needs and personal preferences of the residents
- the cook is part of the care team and should be prepared to attend resident’s meetings to actively contribute in the preparation, cooking and cleaning of the kitchen areas
