Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- designing and engineering custom beams and frames to suit client lifting requirements
- producing a full drawing pack in 2D CAD to cover concept approval, fabrication, and instructions for use
- writing calculations reports to industry standards
- producing 3D CAD models
- preparing supporting documents such as test reports, purchase orders and quality documentation
- dealing with suppliers and helping to manage the production phase of projects
Requirements
- knowledge of SolidWorks FEA
- they will have some experience of management whether that be in an official role (e.g
- knowledge of lifting equipment design
- team leader) or as an unofficial part of their role (e.g
- experience designing to structural or mechanical standards
- experienced Mechanical Engineer often training/helping others)
- team leading experience
- the ideal candidate will be a degree qualified Mechanical, Structural or Design Engineer looking to make the step up to a senior position
