Responsibility
- working closely with other areas of Group Tech to ensure operational effectiveness, security and efficiency
- utilizing industry standard technologies and processes to provision IT infrastructure solutions in line with the technology strategy
- delivering tasks based on project objectives and technically supporting projects through to completion
- working closely with project delivery teams and architects in a technical and design capacity to ensure the smooth transition of project outcomes to operations
Requirements
- history of successful infrastructure role within a large Plc/blue-chip environment
- history of successful multi-component infrastructure implementations
- history of successful operational activity including troubleshooting, monitoring and securing infrastructure systems in a 3rd line support role
- deep technical understanding of Microsoft operating systems, technologies and environments
- deep technical understanding of hypervisor/virtualisation , storage, backup, recovery, cloud environments and server technologies
- deep technical understanding of physical hardware and datacentre operations
- expertise in Linux operating systems
- expertise in database technologies
