Responsibility

  • key member of collaborative technology sessions with developers, vendors and stakeholders providing technical expertise and oversight on new and existing solutions
  • overseeing 3rd party application architectures and integrations
  • developing and maintaining core architectural artefacts. Ensuring best practices are followed, and compliance to corporate policies and standards
  • ability to plan, prioritize and organize multiple projects and tasks effectively and independently
  • understand and support wider BritBox architectural perspectives, assess and manage impacts to BritBox digital products, and champion business needs
  • demonstrated knowledge of software development and delivery
  • encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organisation, and diversity
  • maintaining a good understanding of industry and technology trends and innovations to both inform business opportunities, and influence internal and external partner roadmaps

Requirements

  • mid level experience in software design patterns and cloud-based solutions
  • strong architecture and system design sense preferably with experience developing direct-to-consumer technologies and cloud-scale microservices development
  • scalable digital consumer product architectures – ideally SVOD and/or media supply chain areas
  • experience of working with or within an SVOD business and/or TV service would be an advantage
  • experience/Familiarity with Connected TV application development Mobile application development
  • demonstrable Software Engineering and Architecture experience
  • working with vendors to deliver Cloud-based solutions
  • technical chops to ensure that we build compelling, customer oriented solutions in an iterative methodology
