fabricator welder

Responsibility

  • undertake MIG & TIG welding for various materials including ferritic steels, stainless and aluminium with various thicknesses and joint configurations
  • demonstrate safe operation of welding specific power tools including grinders, linishers and DA’s with relevant safety measures
  • assist in the operation of brand-new robotic welding equipment in a cutting-edge designated cell
  • demonstrate competent finishing of welded parts including dressing/fettling to drawing/customer specific finished requirements using various power tools and hand abrasive methods
  • fabricate metal components, ensuring precision and quality every time
  • demonstrate forming, prepping and tacking of materials using jigs where applicable
  • interpret technical drawings and utilise custom jigs for tack welding
  • proactively maintain a clean work area always ensuring high levels of health and safety whilst minimising material cross contamination

Requirements

  • populate and manage FAIRs, in line with manufacturing deadlines
  • raise and document NCRs, implement containment measures, and identify corrective actions
  • lead or assist in RCCA investigations to resolve non-conformities
  • ensure proper quarantine procedures for non-compliant materials and products
  • manage internal and external calibration requirements and maintain accurate records
  • check and authorise final product release certifications
