Responsibility
- be responsible for generating new business, through own growth, recommendations and connections within the industry
- underwrite new and existing business in line with underwriting standard practice
- develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues to maximise influence
- adhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice
- building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing brokers
- adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency
- underwriting of commercial, property and general liability risks under a variety of delegated binding authorities
- underwriter renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business
Requirements
- property insurance underwriting experience is essential
- commercial insurance underwriting experience is essential, at least 3 years
- commercial property and liability underwriting experience
- general commercial insurance understanding/experience working in
- previous Commercial Motor Fleet / Motor Trade underwriting experience
- minimum of 3 years proven underwriting experience in commercial combined sector
- new business underwriting experience is essential
- technical knowledge of Commercial SME classes
