attend practice team meetings and training sessions as and when arranged and required
ensure that new patient registration forms are correctly completed and are supported by all the necessary paperwork. Register the new patient on the system as quickly as possible
advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payments and issue receipts
receive and make calls as required. Divert calls and take messages as appropriate, whilst ensuring that the practice procedure for confidentiality is followed at all times
ensure that Workflow and Tasks are dealt with accurately and appropriately as quickly as possible
provide holiday and absence cover across the Patient Services Team, to include Medical Secretaries, Administrative staff and Reception, as and when required, some cover may include evenings
retrieve and respond to internal and external emails in an appropriate manner adhering to practice computer and email policies at all times
