Responsibility

  • this is a really exciting time to join our team
  • we require a Technical Manager to lead the technical team and manage all aspects of technical for the business
  • you will be the vital link between sales, suppliers, customers, production and processes
  • responsibilities for this role include
  • we have a team of 30 people working across our 3 sites; managing the supply chain, operation and contract packing 24 hours a day
  • effective management and continual implementation of HACCP
  • continual review and management of our Food Safety and Quality Management systems
  • your main role will be to manage, develop and deliver a technical strategy and systems for the site, including QA, QC, Hygiene and Pest Control activities

Requirements

  • experience in a QA / technical role in the food industry at a manager level
  • knowledgeable about the processing, chemistry, and microbiology of soft drinks and alcoholic drinks
  • degree in a scientific discipline
  • confident talking to customers, and able to explain technical/scientific concepts to people without a technical background
  • working hands-on in a factory environment
  • experience managing a team
  • HACCP and Food Hygiene training to at least Level 3 standard
