Responsibility
- other roles may include, and are not limited to, quality checks, online returns processing, and warehouse organisation
- the employee will report directly to the workshop supervisor and general manager
- the major function of the workshop remedial worker is to clean, refurbish and repackage used shoes and return them to a saleable quality
- the worker must be flexible, adaptable, and have a keen eye for detail. Hands on skills, IT literacy, and experience in the shoe industry, or in a warehouse environment are preferred skills but not essential
- demonstrate skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work
- alert other team members to issues of quality and risk
- using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
- contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team’s performance
